It doesn't seem to matter where I enter from anymore, my ping goes crazy. I managed to beat the quest on one character before it got to bad, but now it's become unplayable for me.

Is anyone else having the same problem?

EDIT: Japanese district seemed playable but when I got to the mursaat my ping spiked and I started teleporting everywhere. this is bs

I had the same problem with a friend, had smthg like 3k ping during 35min we try to resist to mursaats.

A friend just told me on ts that he had the same problem so..

You're not alone. I'm about 90% sure that most people are lagging in the Battle of LA.

Its completely unplayable right now.

God lord..How the hell are the servers going to handle Guild Wars 2? :|

Just as an off topic note......"Jap" might not be the proper word to use, as to some it is racist slang still.

Anyways, has the lag really gotten that bad? Honestly when I did it......maybe less then 2 hours ago it was perfectly fine.

This lag is just plain stupid. spent 30 minutes trying to complete this only to end up wiping near Salma and watching her die. We were bouncing all over the place, skills just flashing as they tried to activate. I"m not going to bother again for a while. I'm just a tad bit irritated about it right now.

I was able to earlier, but now the lag makes this unplayable. GG Anet ^^, I'm calling it quits on this quest for now.

I have been trying on a few different districts but even if I can play, once the Mursaat groups spawn I lag out completely. I'm guessing it's the amount of guys that are spawning at that point.

Kind of annoying that this stuff always seems to happen with new content. I just wish they better prepared for it.

Chalk me up on the "me too" list. The rest of the game world is fine.. the battle area itself is pretty much unplayable. Several times now I get up to where the large wave of jade armors come rushing in, and its game over. They're 'blinking' all over the place, takes 3-5 seconds for a skill to even begin to activate, etc etc. Probably try it again in a couple days once the excitement has settled down, but right now it's just horrible.

My entire team and I (6 people obviously) lagged out 4 times and finally gave up. I went to international and was eventually able to do it w/o lagging to death.

Yeah, International didn't even solve it like we thought it might, KJ. My girlfriend and I just failed near the end because we could not use a single skill, move, attack, or anything else. I was actually ENJOYING a WiK mission for the first time, then it gets ruined by this. Note the ping:

Same here, was able to do it earlier today, but when we tried it again just now it was not playable at all. We were all getting anywhere from 400-18k ping no matter where we started from.

We had the same prob. me and some guildys, on a moment i had a ping of 30k, and swapping districts didn't seem to help. On a moment we had a ping of 35-40k.
We did the quest several times, somtimes we lagged, and other times we didn't.

Awful lag when the mobs close in. We made it through, but I'm not sure how. Apparently panic must be really op b/c I was just blindly spamming it on rc and hoping it went through.

Had some bad lag earlier when I did it but we pulled through (I think we were in International). Really it only caused a couple of us to die and we wiped twice but enemies never got past the first staircase.

Oh and you have to realize pretty much everyone is doing it right now, so if it's unplayable just go do something else for a little bit, it won't kill you.

I was gonna roll fevered dreams/finish him.. but went with panic after someone in lions arch mentioned it.. it works sweet

me and another guy made them look silly.. the lag was bad earlier but it seems fixed

still have 6 more characters to do it on

Seems the problem has been fixed. I have now completed the quest on my second character. Time to do it on a few other toons ^^
